We recently visited the new I Am Jerusalem attraction in the heart of the Holy City – and enjoyed it a lot!
I Am Jerusalem is an artistic, innovative and international multimedia performance that takes you on a multi-sensory experience through the different layers of Jerusalem. It’s located in the Mamilla shopping boulevard, and inside an elastic-kinetic projection theater that alters its dimensions throughout the show; expect an awesome journey of sights, sounds, and people, to the Jerusalem of today, of yesterday and of tomorrow.
The show is suitable for ages 5 – 99 (under 5’s might get a little freaked by the moving seats), and there’s Hebrew and English translations throughout the show, so should be good for everyone.
It’s fairly cheap to get in, with a family ticket at 120 shekels (2 adults and 2 kids) (order online for a discount).
It’s not a place you’ll go specifically out of your way to get to, but combine it with other great things to see in Jerusalem and you’ll have a blast! We had 2 kids with us (aged 6 and 9), they loved it, especially the moving chairs!
