James “Super Chikan” Johnson, a legend in Mississippi Blues, is performing at Tel Aviv’s Barby Club!
A guitarist, singer and guitar builder, Johnson will come to Israel for the first time this June (he’ll also be performing at Yaakov’s HaKureh in the northern oasis of Metulla the night before).
In recent years Super Chikan has been performing at festivals in the U.S. and around the world. He has recorded seven albums to date, several of which have received awards.
Chikan is a resident artist in Morgan Freeman’s famous “Ground Zero” club and is the nephew of blues legend Big Jack Johnson.
This could be one of the best ever genuine Blues shows you’ll ever see in Israel!
