Trans Israel bike rideFor one day a year, cyclists take over the city of Tel Aviv and all the major roads are shut to car traffic when bicycles rule the roads!

With over 30,000 participants and four cycling courses on the roads, over 100,000 spectators lining the street and routes that include the Ayalon, the main Tel Aviv highway, and down along the coast line, it is the largest cycling event in Israel. The “Bicycle Festival in the Big City” will also take place in Rabin Square from September 30, 2015-October 1, 2015.

There are four cycling courses that start and finish on Rokach Street in the heart of Tel Aviv next to the Ganei Hata’arucha Exhibition Center.

  • 60 km for professional riders
  • 40 km for experienced riders
  • 21 km for intermediate level riders
  • 8 km for beginner riders

There’s also the 21 km route for inline skating (Rollerblades)
