The first ever Jerusalem Blues Festival will take place in December 2015 in the Yellow Submarine club in Jerusalem!
The festival will host blues artist Jerron ‘Blind Boy’ Paxton, who is coming to Jerusalem for the 2nd time and the acoustic duo ‘Piedmont Bluz’ from New York. In addition to these international acts, there will be 5 more shows, in Hebrew and in English, by some of the best blues musicians in Israel; one evening will be dedicated to two musicians who do “One Man Band”. The closing event will be by famous local Dani Litanny. Every evening will start with lighting the Hanukiah together and will be followed by a blues gig.
The festival is produced by ‘Kvish 61’( Route 61), a non-profit association (Amuta) founded to promote the blues in Israel, together with Nobody’s Fault Productions, a company that has brought many blues musicians to Israel in recent years.
This festival is an opportunity to taste a little bit of Israel’s local blues and also get introduced to some awesome acoustic blues all the way from the US.
