The annual Gilboa Balloon Festival takes place September 29-30, 2015, at the Ma’ayan Harod National Park. It’s a beautiful spot and perfect for a hot air balloon ride!
Expect to see a bevy of balloons and pilots from across the world, while enjoying a variety of family-friendly events over the two days, including food stands, shows, and concerts from some of Israel’s biggest names.
The actual schedule of the festival means there will be the typical FireGlow event in the evening, followed by the balloons taking off early the next day (they head to Eshkol in the northern Negev, where another mini balloon festival is taking place).
