Celebrating its 21st year, the Holiday of Holiday returns!
Known as the Hag Shel HaHagim in Hebrew, this annual fiesta of celebrations take place in Haifa.
THREE holidays are celebrated:
- The Jewish holiday of Hanukka
- The Christian holiday of Christmas
- The Muslim holiday of Eid-al-Adha
Typically hosting some 200,000 visitors, the festival is “without boundaries of culture and religion”.
The place to head for: the Wadi NisNas neighborhood of Haifa, between the Hadar neighborhood and the downtown area.
Expect to see dancing and street performances, an antiques fair, food stalls of various kinds (expect to queue big-time for some legendary felafel at Felafel George or Felafel Ha’ze’kay’nim), and other great events.
Most events are free to enjoy; see the full program here (in English!).
