The must-see (and interactive) Big Bambu exhibit at the Israel Museum is located in the Billy Rose Art Garden throughout the summer (June 10 – October 1).
Created by twins Doug and Mike Starn, this exhibit has traveled around the world, with each location getting a slightly different interpretation since it is rebuilt from scratch every time. The installation, combining architecture and sculpture, examines the tension between chaos and order in nature.
The exhibit features thousands of bamboo canes tied together with colored string, which visitors can actually climb on, walked round and even walked into! A path will guide you along the correct way, just so you don’t get lost in all that bamboo.

UPDATE: Currently on – Bambu Nights! The exhibition will be open until 9 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
