If you’re in Israel during June, head to Jerusalem for a humdinger of a taste of the Middle East – the “Terraolivo” International Competition of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (otherwise known as the more tongue-twisty Mediterranean International E.V.Olive Oil Competition)!
The competition will take place in the Olive Tree Hotel, Jerusalem, from June 7-14, 2015.
This annual competition is seen as the third most important in the world for ranking and discovering the very best extra virgin olive oils in the world. The rankings are determined by the EVOO World Ranking System, who define the best of the world from some 500 different samples collected from some 17 countries.
The competition also offers participants the opportunity to tour the north and south of Israel as well as more in depth half-day tours of Jerusalem. If you’re heading there, don’t miss out on some of Jerusalem’s best attractions.
