We love visiting the Tower of David in Jerusalem, in our opinion, one of the most underrated and missed out on spots in the Holy City of Jerusalem!
Every exhibition they have is a cracker, and their current one is no exception: Objective. Don’t miss the coolest table on the planet (here on the right), it really is quite stunning! And it’s also in the cool, AC-pumped exhibition hall, always good for a few minutes relief on a hot summer’s day!
This summer there are a number of other great things to catch at the Tower, here’s a quick summary (please note that these events end at the end of August)…
AugustFest at the Tower of David
Every Friday in August, expect something a little different! Starting at 10:00 am in the Citadel moat, there’s going to be some great things to do, with stalls to peruse, cold beers at noon, live music and DJs, and plenty of other goodies!
Hands On!
Through August, enjoy getting your hands (and bare feet) dirty with various activities for all the family following a trail throughout the Tower. Runs from Sunday-Thursday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm (adults 40 shekels, children 10 shekels).
Dungeons & Dragons
On every Friday and Saturday, the ancient citadel is perhaps the perfect spot for some Dungeons and Dragons! Children are invited to meet the Dungeon Master, and take costumes and weapons to become their favorite character: Orcs? Monks? Wizards? Wizards? Suitable for ages 7-13 (children 50 shekels, accompanying adult 30 shekels).
Stories of the Walls
Every Tuesday and Thursday at 17:30, take a twilight tour of the citadel and Old City walls, lasting for two hours (Hebrew only). Adults 60 shekels, children 30 shekels.

Treasure Hunt (QR game)
Children can participate in a treasure hunt that is spread throughout the citadel with an easy-to-use game that works on QR codes placed at different points around the site. By the end of the treasure hunt, children can walk away with a TOD badge as well as knowledge of how a fortress is built and how it gives protection to those inside it. Included in the standard entrance fee.
In addition to these great summer activities, don’t miss one of the greatest shows in town, which is on most evenings, the Night Spectacular!
