Perhaps the first sign of what the Open Skies agreement will bring – this week Wizz Air announced they will start new routes to Tel Aviv this winter, from Vilnius, Katowice and Cluj-Napoca!
Wizz Air currently flies to Tel Aviv from Budapest and Bucharest, and these flights have proved so popular, they are now expanding operations.
The twice-weekly flights to/from Vilnius and Cluj-Napoca will start at the end of October, while the three times a week flights on the Katowice route begin at the end of November.
A sign of future developments, as Israel opens its skies to the EU flight operators thanks to the Open Skies agreement signed in April.
With plenty of amazing things to see and do in Israel, we ain’t surprised!
