The Jerusalem Beer Festival returns in August!
Now in its 9th year, the 2013 festival looks set to bring yet more smiles to the Holy City. And with over 120 beers to sample, from both Israel and around the world, it’s no wonder!
As usual, you will be able to try some excellent beer from premium breweries, as well as the small boutique breweries that are springing up like mushrooms lately (and which are producing some mighty fine beer – trust us, we like beer! Read our article on the Israeli beer industry newbies for a taster…).
Why not try some uniquely flavored beer, such as honey, coffee, banana, strawberry, cherry, caramel and even beer from various herbs?! My goodness!
The action takes place in Independence Park in Jerusalem, and apart from the huge bar and beer you can also find street shows, live shows by various performers, and other great attractions. This year the musical lineup is awesome: legendary Israeli band Monica Sex will be performing, plus there will be shows by The Giraffot, and Mercedes Band.
The date to mark in your diaries: 7-8 August, 2013
Open hours:Â 18:00 – 23:00
Tickets: Soldiers, students and Jerusalem citizens 30 shekels, for others 35 shekels.
Here’s a taste of what to expect…
