Lollapalooza comes to Israel: keep August 2013 free boys and girls!

Lollapalooza comes to IsraelOne of the world’s biggest music festivals, Lollapalooza, is coming to Israel!

Lollapalooza has become one of the music events of the year in the US, ever since its inception in 2005 by Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell. And in what is a BIG move for the huge numbers of Israeli music fans – so often starved of a real concert scene prevalent pretty much worldwide – that hunger for a real festival scene in the Holy Land has finally been recognized.

Perry Farrell was here a year ago with his band Jane’s Addiction, and saw first-hand that desire for real international talent in Israel. He has now announced the Tel Aviv version of Lollapalooza; the dates in the calendar to mark: August 20-22, 2013

OK, Israel has seen Madonna launch her world tour, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are on their way next month, but the festival scene in this country largely revolves around local bands and more often than not, means a trek to the desert. A three-day festival in Tel Aviv (the festival is currently scheduled for HaYarkon Park) featuring some of real international names – wow!

As soon as we get any info on tickets and performers, we’ll let you know! Just to get you in the mood, this is the lineup for Lollapalooza 2012 in Chicago.
