Picture of the Week CI
This week we’re off to the beach in Tel Aviv once more. Not a lot you can add to a picture like this…
The pic was taken by trefilova, a lass from somewhere…Click to big!
Picture of the Week C (100!)
This week’s Pic of the Week is our 100th, so Mazal Tov to us and all those great photographers we’ve featured.
Today’s pic has no competition. We love a good rainbow and have spotted quite a few over the last few weeks (check out our Facebook page for some of the shots) but one thing that is tricky to do is catch a whole rainbow, the complete arch. Hence today’s choice, captured by Xnir. Great shot, click to big, of course!
Picture of the Week XCIX
This week we head down the old alleyways of the Old City in Jerusalem, for a quite stunning shot. Not a lot to add to this, I suggest you just click on the pic (to enlarge it) and see for yourselves…
It was taken by David Mor, who has some other fine shots over here, especially of the Old City.
Picture of the Week XCVIII
This week it’s time for some Spring goodness. Thankfully the winter in Israel really isn’t a winter, but even so, when Spring makes an appearance, it can knock you for six. If you can, step out of the center of the country and head either north or south. Up north the fruit blossoms are out, while the recent rain (including last night!) has made everything green and lush. This weekend’s hot tip: get out and see Israel in bloom!
This shot was taken by aroundtheisland, a lass from central Israel with a bevy of fine beauties in her photostream. Check her out. And click to big – you won’t be disappointed.
Picture of the Week XCVII
This week we’re off to Jerusalem again, for a flying visit to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in the Old City. One of the most inspirational and moving places to visit in Israel, regardless of your religion…
The picture was taken by Scott Ableman, who it seems was on holiday here a couple of years ago. Great pic – click to big.
Picture of the Week XCVI
This week there’s only one possible scene that could make our weekly piece of visual magic – some Jerusalem snow. OK, it might not have actually snowed in Jerusalem this week, but the anticipation was there after a couple of very wintry days in Israel…and it did snow in the far north of the country!
The pic was taken by VadimBravo, a guy from Jerusalem/Raanana. He’s got some very nice shots over here, check him out! And click to big to really appreciate the wonder of snow falling in Jerusalem (yes, it doesn’t happen often – this pic was taken in 2006)…
Picture of the Week XCV
This week we head off to a simple bus stop, somewhere in Israel. Love the composition on this one, with the man’s face and playful eyes, movie poster (in Hebrew it says “Way of the Warrior”, but I have no idea which movie this is for; movies in Israel get translated rather strangely sometimes), and mysterious female stranger on the side.
The picture was taken by rundadar, a guy from Tel Aviv/Moscow who has some mighty fine shots in his collection, well worth a look.

This week it’s off to Tel Aviv we go, and the picturesque suburb of Neve Tzedek, in the southern part of the city. Just love the “everyday” moment caught in this one, with the bike, dog and graffiti, and vibrant reds and blues.
The pic was taken by IlanBresler, a guy whose pics you really should get familiar with!
