The best Bar in Israel
As Bar Refaeli takes it in the neck from all sides (this week she’s been accused of being a tax-dodger, which has also brought out the old stories that she is unpatriotic and disses Israel whenever she can…), we just wanted her to know that we at igoogledisrael.com are right behind her.
The video below of Bar Refaeli promoting Passionata lingerie was released this week. Confirmation, if ever it was needed, that she really is the best Bar in Israel.
Israel to teach Brazil how to play soccer!
Er, no.
OK, so Israel teaching the Samba Kings how to play football might be a bit far-fetched. But check this out: the Brazilian government is sending over a team of its water experts to analyze how Israel has managed to conserve water. The Brazilians are apparently worried that the recent good work they’ve done in the area of conserving water (including ads that plugged peeing while having a bath, to save water of course) will go pear-shaped when the Olympics scheduled to take place in Rio in 2016 kicks off.
It seems the Brazilians are worried a thirsty and uneducated bunch of tourists might just send their water conservation program down the river, so are looking at cutting edge technological solutions, something Israel isn’t too shabby at.
I say there’s no need for technology. Just produce an ad with eye-candy supermodels, faces peeling and skin cracking, that’ll scare the public into changing their ways. I know when I saw Bar Refaeli’s face cracking away, I didn’t just stop flushing after taking a pee, I stopped peeing altogether. And I’m pretty sure I’m not alone. Many of us felt we had to save the Bar; helping conserve Israel’s water was just the cherry on top…
Here’s the ad that did it…
Israeli Girls + Mud = Ratings!
You’ve probably already realized that Israeli women are beautiful. You might not even have made it to Israel yet, but you’ve probably seen Bar Refaeli, Israel’s star bikini girl, in an advert here or a newspaper gossip section there, she’s almost everywhere these days. But you’ll just have to take our word for it that there are many, many (yes, many!) more beautiful women in the Holy Land…
And if you don’t get a chance to confirm this with your own eyes while in Israel, we suggest switching on the local series of Survivor (Wednesday and Saturday evenings, Channel 10) where, if the director is still on a desperate pulling-out-all-the-stops mission for ratings, you will probably get to see some fine bikini clad ladies. Rolling in mud. Again.
And if you can’t make it to Israel anytime soon, just Thank God for YouTube…
Bar Refaeli and Sandi Bar back on the streets?
One of the nicest things about driving in Israel (and let’s face it, it’s not the easiest of experiences), used to be the drive through Tel Aviv on the main Ayalon freeway. Apart from giving you a real good perspective of just how modern Israel has become, what with all those huge, new buildings springing up everywhere, it also gave us lads some perspiration inspiration with rather huge (building-size), advertising posters full of Israel’s most beautiful women.
Who can forget Sandi Bar‘s advert (see right) for a local chocolate pudding favourite (Milky), or Hila Nachshon‘s brief flirt with fame on the very same billboard for the very same milky chocolate pudding. And, of course, Bar Refaeli, who has appeared on some of the biggest billboards Israel’s Ayalon freeway has to offer! And ladies, let’s not pretend there wasn’t anything distracting you either…please see below for proof!
The good times came to an end around 18 months ago as the Israeli government decided that the ads were endangering drivers as they somehow got distracted, and all ads along the freeway were subsequently banned.
However, that decision was reversed this week as the government declared that ads can be placed on existing buildings only (but not residential buildings) and not on agricultural land. And no more flashing, moving and changing ads and plasma screens.
So yes, very soon Bar and Sandi and a whole horde of beautiful young Israelis will once again be staring down at us suggestively as we drive through Tel Aviv. We shall have to document their return, of course.
Please note: not every Israeli girl with the name Bar is a hot, young model. Almost, but not quite all.
