Picture of the Week XLIII

As spring is almost upon us, it’s time to head over to one of the most popular spots in Tel Aviv, the Port (or Namal in Hebrew). What spring has to do with I don’t know, but I just thought this shot was great, a kind of wake up call to spring and summer moments in Tel Aviv. Because this bridge over the HaYarkon river will look exactly like this in a few weeks…well, even during a sunny winter late afternoon, to be honest. Seriously, this footbridge gets over-used on a Saturday evening when the whole world and his dog comes to the Port. As someone who has spent years living in Tel Aviv, I avoided this area like the plague on a Saturday evening…but then again, if you enjoy “people watching”, this is the place to be!

The picture was taken by 5eyes, a lady who lives close to Tel Aviv and who has some other fine shots to browse. Go on, go browse!

  1. Wow, awesome picture! I love the light reflected through (and under) the bridge.
