Depeche Mode in Tel Aviv!
It’s finally here, the moment a lot of Depeche Mode fans, and there are a lot of fans in Israel, have been waiting for - Depeche Mode live in the Holy Land! After 30 years together, this is the first time they’ve made it to Israel as a group and after cancelling their 2006 show due to the Second Lebanon War it’s great to see them finally arrive. In their press conference yesterday, they looked content and perhaps even a little nervous as they dropped a few hints about their playlist (maybe 6-7 songs from the new album). It’s also singer Dave Gahan’s birthday on Saturday, so apparently there will be some kind of mini-celebration during the show.
Me, I’m really looking forward to the show, should be a cracker. I’ll be taking a few pictures along the way, maybe even including some pics of the pre-show shindig at a friend’s place, just across the road from the stadium. A full report to come on Monday I’m sure, but for now, here are a couple of tracks you can expect to see tomorrow night, the clips were taken from the band’s warm up show in Luxembourg earlier this week.
And my personal alltime fave Depeche Mode song. My knees will probably tremble when I hear the opening bars of this…

Jack, you could take a look at this: http://bit.ly/VYekK
But that playlist is quite different from the one we saw last night. For example, it started with “In Chains” and the final encore was “Personal Jesus”.
Check out our review of the gig here: http://bit.ly/FED2z
Whatever the playlist, you’ll enjoy the show!
