Another reason to come visit Israel

Well, another reason to visit Israel, if you’re a big fan of mafia-like revenge killings in a Sopranos stylee. Yesterday saw the assassination of the head of one of the leading crime families in Israel, Ya’akov Alperon (in the pic below). After many near-misses and even much courting of the local media, his number was up. In what has become a violent battle for control of the underworld, there’ll be more to come from “the family”, just not sure which of the families it’s going to come from…And don’t worry, with 7 children left to fight their way in this wicked world, Ya’akov has enough grieving offspring to ensure that this isn’t the last revenge killing we’ll hear about…

So, perhaps a guided tour of the underworld assassination sites? Or a tour of the luxury houses now owned through the, er, less than legal activities? I smell an opportunity for somebody here, the alternative guide to Israel perhaps? Hang on, there’s somebody knocking at the door…

Of course, over at the main site we have some real reasons to visit Israel, but you might want to check out Why choose Israel for a holiday for starters…

Tel Aviv beach video

I’ve spent a couple of hours churning this video out. It’s a compilation of a few shots of Tel Aviv beach that I’ve taken over the last few years and was made using Windows Movie Maker. There’s nothing like a few pictures of the Med and the glorious beaches of Tel Aviv to warm you up on a cool winter’s night. OK, it’s not that cool here in Tel Aviv but I am thinking of putting some socks on…he he he

More videos to come, hopefully they’ll improve as I get better…maybe not…

Shalom!

Welcome to the igoogledisrael.com blog, the perfect place to find out just what’s going on at igoogledisrael. This blog will keep a track of all new postings and goings-on, plus give a more personal behind-the-scenes look at the site.

Of course, the igoogledisrael.com site has been in progress for a month or so now, but is still yet to go “out there”. Google has already indexed the site and I’ve had a few hits already via Google, but the big launch is yet to come. I’m thinking of a Christmas launch party, just to get some publicity, and, of course, a double celebration that’ll probably mean I’ll have to drink double the amount of beer. Oh dear.

Anyway, lot’s more to come over the coming weeks and months. I hope you stick around and enjoy it, because it’s going to be a blast!
