With Pessach just around the corner, together with the annual deluge of holiday events to enjoy, here’s a contender for your time and money this Pessach – the Geek PicNic festival in Jerusalem!
Held over three days – April 25-27 – in Jerusalem’s Sacher Park, this international science, technology and art open-air festival is expected to host some 45,000 visitors.
The festival will include 25 robots from overseas, 150 performances, 150 superheroes, 50 international speakers and presentations, 40 VR/AR experiences, 30 3D printers, 25 international gadget startups, 20 labs and four stages.
The Geek PicNic is one for all the family, especially if your family members enjoy all that is geek chic and gadgetry, all in an open-air park atmosphere, with dozens of attractions happening simultaneously.
This is Geek PicNic’s first foray outside of Russia, where the event was founded. Over the course of a few years, it has become a global phenomenon, home to a community of tens of thousands of eager and geeky enthusiasts. The clip below might give you an idea of just why…
Festival visitors enjoy a one-ticket experience to all the Geek PicNic attractions: tickets cost 144 shekels, though there are some early bird specials and other deals floating around, which can bring the costs down a bit (84 shekels for kids , 104 shekels for adults).
