How Tel Aviv was built in 42 seconds!

| January 12, 2010 | 2 Comments

Tel Aviv did, of course, celebrate its 100th birthday last year, amid much hullabaloo. And in tribute to the City That Never Sleep’s colorful history, a documentary was made by one of Israel’s favorite presenters, Modi Bar-On (who is perhaps known most for fronting the Champions League football magazine on Israel’s Sports Channel).

The opening sequence of the documentary has a great little clip of how Tel Aviv grew into the metropolitan monster it is today, thanks to a scale model of the city created by animator Liron Damir. Worth a watch!

Here’s a longer clip of the first part of the documentary, just for those interested in a bit of Tel Aviv history.
