After I arrived, I looked out my window and noticed a lot of men holding onto each other and displaying various forms of affection towards one another. I thought it was a cultural thing with men here. So when I asked my agent about the culture of men here in Israel, she assured me it was not a cultural behavior but actually gay. Coming from Long Beach, Ca., you see many gay couples but not so much the touchy-feely thing. Evidently, according to her, Tel Aviv is quite the gay hub of the Middle East. Who knew?
