Dear Scotty P,

Love your sense of humor. Look forward to a book from you. When it does evidentially come out, what will it be about? I taught ESL for 6 years in LA. I thought it was just the groups I taught that were so "social"! I didn't realize that going to any country and taking their language courses made you "social" and fertile for that matter. And, even though the class was meant to have between 30 and 50 people on your attendance, you always had 100 by the end of the term. People didn't check out, they just came whenever so you averaged about 45 a night. I absolutely loved teaching ESL at adult school but since I teach elementary during the day, it got to be too much. Congratulations on the success of your first round of Hebrew!

Thank you, H.S.! I will continue, but not with Bet intensive. I am writing a book, and I want to bang out a first draft b/t now and February. But of course I will continue studying Hebrew. I really do love it.

Thanks for this excellent post. I also learned Hebrew at an Ulpan in Israel (Ulpan Akiva in Netanya), and moving out of Kita Alef and into Kita Bet was a great feeling! Kol Hakavod (Well done) for all your hard work! Keep learning Hebrew, keep expanding your knowledge of Hebrew, and you won't look back. You'll be in Kita Gimel before you know it...
