Well, I actually liked the way the lyrics matched the scenery. I wouldn't say that the music and lyrics would persuade me to come, but I really do get how those of us who are coming from a spiritual background could be touched by the music and lyrics. It's the kind of song that speaks of connections to something. Whether or not one likes it, the messages are clear and easy to connect with. In response to Brite it never ceases to amaze me how cynical we are when it comes to peoples spiritual or religious beliefs. Wonder why that is for us as human beings? I was there for a while myself. In fact, a long while. Like it better where I am now. It took more negative energy to wrap myself around whether others were sincere or not about their spirituality. I finally figured out that everyone is on their own journey in life whether or not we can accept or believe them. For some of us, this video will be corny but for others it will be inspiring.

Randy, totally with you on the scenery and the experience, it has had me hooked for years. I'm not much of a believer, but this ad just didn't seem to convince me, especially the music, the lyrics...

The truth is that we have all bought into some cheesy ads, but there is an underlying experience in Israel that makes it a truly unique destination. As a Bible teacher, it is the stage from which I draw the stories of my Christian heritage. It has meaning that is deeper to me than I can always describe. The Jewish people have also become a deep part of my life (I lived in Israel for many years) - and I believe something Divine has happened to draw them to their ancient homeland. Sounds cheesy, I know - but even though it isn't my taste in music at all, I enjoy the scenery.

Yes, this kind of clip will sell to the Christian world. The music is just up the sleeve of the fundamentalist Christian. That's how Israel is perceived, eternal, the promise eternal through old and new and Jesus.
